Out of Colorado.

Colorado was great, but because of getting over the all-night drive, I never really felt relaxed. It was a strange feeling, like I needed to be on the road. Mileage mode: the more miles covered, the better the day.

We only allocated a half-day to boulder in Boulder, but we ended up climbing all day and not leaving until after 5pm thus adding to the rushed feeling. The Satellite boulders are incredible. I ended up redpointing my first V5 – Zero G. Didn’t capture it on video, but we did get some routes!

We also climbed the second flatiron (easiest one) because raptors were nesting on the third flatiron. Damn raptors.

Austin Johnson very generously offered up the guest room at his… palace. After some good climbing conversation, he invited me to join him bouldering in Mongolia this August.

Before heading into Utah, Paul and I stopped in Rifle for a couple climbs.

I jumped on a 5.11b: Feline, but had to ‘take’ twice to finish the route.

Didn’t realize all this bouldering had made me so soft.
