Long Overdue [Nov 2015 – Feb 2016]
Category : Uncategorized
I haven’t updated in four months, partially because I spent so much in November and December. I was dreading actually coming to terms with what I had spend during my 5 week trip to Hawaii.
Almost immediately after Kinder Morgan (KMI) accounced they were cutting their dividend, I sold all of my shares. The dividend cut came as a surprise to me as I don’t follow the financial health of the companies that I’ve invested in as closely as I should. It’s something I would like to work on in 2016.
Despite the sale of KMI and the fact that I have not invested any new money since December of 2014, my dividend numbers have not dropped substantially.
I’d like to start investing again, but I’m looking for a new job (trying to move out of manufacturing engineering and more into database development and eventually into machine learning). Towards the end of April, I will start job searching full-time.
